Summer weather was prevailing well into the first week of fall. It's been great for the outdoor festivals that grace our Ottawa presence.
City Folk Fest went down September 13th - 17th with an amazing lineup. It was my first time at the Landsdowne location and I quite like it (closer to my home, too.)
I was pretty stoked to see Post Malone, Father John Misty and Toronto's Bahamas. I gotta say the sound was incredible and the vibe is a lot more relaxed than Bluesfest.
The food options were pretty ok for the smaller festival. I liked the food trucks too.. it gave it a relaxed ourdoorsy feel. Lines were small and I mean I can always go for Thai food.
Gluten free gravy on fries makes me this happy.
There was an artisan market inside of the pavilion with some cool crafts and another stage. I love that a Quebec herbalist was there. Herbal medicine has helped me over the past few years. Always consult a registered herbaist!
Let me know in the comments if there's a festival you are hardcore about going to every year. Hope you have an amazing fall.
